How our sizes work

Our jumpers, vests and cardigans come in unisex sizes XS, S, M, L and XL. Each product page names the fit and has a size guide with the garment’s own measurements. The tables below show all fits. Measurements are in centimetres, taken with the garment laid flat: chest across under the arms and doubled, length from the highest point of the shoulder to the hem.

How to choose

Measure a knit you already like, laid flat, and compare. Or measure your chest at the fullest point: for a regular fit, choose the size about 10–14 cm larger than your body measurement; for a relaxed or boxy fit, the same size gives more room. Between two sizes, take the larger one for layering and the smaller one for a neater line. Hats and neck warmers are one size; their measurements are on each product page.

What is a wind rating?

Every knit has a wind rating from Force 1 to Force 8, named after the Beaufort wind scale. It is our own guide to how heavy and warm a knit is compared with our other knits: Force 1–3 are airy and light, Force 4–5 are mid-weight, Force 6–8 are dense and heavy. It is a guide for choosing, not a technical or thermal performance rating.

What are the knits made of?

The composition of every piece is listed on its product page and on its label. We use cotton, cotton and linen, and cotton and acrylic blends. We only describe a knit as containing a fibre when it does.

Caring for your knits

• Wash less. Air your knit on a hanger overnight between wears; it freshens up without washing.
• Wash cool and gentle. Hand wash cold or use a 30°C delicate cycle, inside out, with a mild detergent. Follow the label of each piece.
• Dry flat. Roll the knit in a towel to press out water, reshape it and dry it flat, away from direct heat and sun. Do not tumble dry and do not hang knits to dry.
• Store folded. Hangers stretch shoulders. Fold knits on a shelf or in a drawer.
• Pilling is normal on soft yarns where they rub, such as under the arms. Remove bobbles gently with a knit comb or fabric shaver.
• Snags: do not cut a pulled loop. Ease it back to the inside with a blunt needle.

Orders and delivery

When will my order arrive?

Orders leave us within 2–4 business days. Delivery then takes 2–4 business days in the UK, 3–7 in the EU, 4–9 to Switzerland and Norway and 5–10 to the US and Canada. See Delivery.

Which currency will I pay in?

The currency you choose at the top of the page. The price at checkout, including delivery, is the amount you pay, shown with its currency code.

How can I pay?

By card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal, depending on what is available at checkout.

Returns

Can I return a knit?

Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to withdraw from your purchase without giving a reason. Use our withdrawal form or email us. See Returns & Refunds.

Who pays for the return?

You pay the cost of sending the items back, unless the item is faulty or not what you ordered. We refund the item price and the original standard delivery charge.
